New Cai Mep terminal opens
Hanjin Shipping, MOL and Wan Hai said Wednesday jointly developed container terminal has opened in the port of Cai Mep in South Vietnam.
The terminal joins a handful of others to open in Vietnam's first deepwater container port, some 60 kilometers from Ho Chi Minh City.
Construction on the Tan Cang Cai Mep International Terminal began in 2009. The two-berth terminal, developed with state-owned Saigon New Port, has capacity for 1.15 million TEUs annually.
