New Century to relocate, expand I-81 operation

New Century to relocate, expand I-81 operation New Century Transportation said it will relocate its Martinsville, W.V.-based truckload operation to Chambersburg, Pa., to address the rapid increase of business in the region.
   The move will create a pool of 150 trailers and 50 tractors immediately adjacent to both established and new volume shippers along the busy Interstate 81 corridor.
   In addition, New Century will also be combining its truckload and volume divisions under one central dispatch point, to be located at company headquarters in Westhampton, N.J. As a result, all truckload moves will be handled directly under the New Century banner.
   All drivers and equipment operating under the EPAK brand will be rolled into an expanded New Century fleet. This arrangement will provide customers a single point of contact for both truckload and less-than-truckload needs, while simplifying billing and customer service functions, the company said.
