New Damco North America carrier management head
Damco, the freight forwarding unit of A.P. Moller – Maersk, appointed Stefan P. Weber as head of its carrier management for North America.
He is based at the company’s North American headquarters in Madison, N.J.
Weber joins Damco from Kuehne + Nagel where for the past eight years he was focused on route management and ocean freight at the Swiss forwarding giant. Before joining K + N, he worked at other forwarders including Schenker, GeoLogistics and Panalpina.
In his new role at Damco, Weber will be responsible for the management and strategic direction of the company's North America region ocean carrier management, including freight procurement and guiding the allocation management and procurement teams across the network.
