New FESCO Tacoma – Vladivostok link

   FESCO Russian Pacific Line said Friday that it will link Tacoma and the eastern Russian port of Vladivostok with a breakbulk/Ro-Ro, and project cargo service beginning Nov. 17.
   The new service will have a transit time of 14 days.
   “We are introducing this improved service to meet our customers’ growing needs to the Russian Far East with more frequent sailings and faster service,” said Mike Evans, FESCO’s North American president. “We are the only provider offering breakbulk and roll on/roll off service out of the Port of Tacoma and the Port of Everett with a direct call in Vladivostok, which is Russia’s largest port city on the Pacific Ocean.”
   FESCO will offer roll on/roll off ramps – which can handle up to 120 metric tons to accommodate automobiles, trucks and trailers, and heavy industrial machinery – on the service.
   The top exports from the Pacific Northwest to the Russian Far East are vehicles and parts, mining machinery, and agricultural equipment, as well as oil and gas project cargoes.
