The newspaper El Neuevo Diario quoted Director Virgilio Silva as saying the investments would improve operation, alleviate congestion and replace older equipment at the Corinto, El Rama and Sandino ports.
A report on the Web site Business News Americas said the project would include rebuilding a floating dock in El Rama, improvements to the terminal in Sandino, repairs to Puerto Cabezas, a new container cranes and two tugboats at Corinto.
