Nightingale joins ModusLink from Con-way

   ModusLink Global Solutions on Monday named Tom Nightingale as its president of sales and market, effective Dec. 15. He previously was chief marketing officer for logistics and trucking conglomerate Con-way.
   Waltham, Mass.-based ModusLink designs supply chains for technology and consumer goods companies and handles life-cycle product support, from sourcing, configuration, and fulfillment to e-commerce and after-market repairs, returns and resale.
   Nightingale has more than 20 years experience in the logistics industry. At Con-way he consolidated sales teams from various operating units into an enterprise sales force and led a global rebranding effort that included the integration of three acquired companies.
   Prior to working at Con-way, Nightingale held senior management positions at Schneider National, Clareon, CSX and UPS. 
   The hiring comes as ModusLink has increased its investment in sales and marketing in an effort to increase revenue.
