Nippon Cargo Airlines replaces ANA as U.K. partner

Japan’s Nippon Cargo Airlines has ended a long-time agreement with All Nippon Airways, in which ANA sold and handled all of its cargo in the United Kingdom.

Effective Nov. 1, NCA appointed WFS (Spa), a division of Worldwide Flight Services (WFS), to handle cargo in London bound for the airline’s Boeing 747F flights from Amsterdam and Frankfurt to Japan, while also naming Air Logistics as its cargo general sales and service agent in the U.K.

“We are confident these changes will make NCA far more responsive to the changing needs of the air cargo marketplace,” said Yoshiro Uosaki, NCA’s general manager Europe.

Patrick Roberts, vice president U.K. and Ireland of WFS, said: “We previously provided handling services to NCA under its former agreement with ANA and it is a tribute to the services we have provided that NCA has chosen to stay with us following the separation of its business from ANA.”
