On March 22, the league’s air and highway transportation committees will meet. U.S. Transportation Secretary Norman Y. Mineta will be the featured keynote speaker that morning.
The NIT League’s ocean and rail forum will be held March 23, and includes speakers Steven R. Blust, Federal Maritime Commission chairman; William Schubert, maritime administrator; Christopher Koch, president of World Shipping Council; Edward Hamberger, president of Association of American Railroads; Surface Transportation Board chairman Roger Nober; and Richard Timmons, president of the American Short Line Railroad Association. Adm. James Loy, deputy secretary of the Homeland Security Department, will deliver the morning keynote speech.
