NMSAC names chairman
Jeffrey Monroe, a transportation and maritime professional with HDR Engineering, was elected chairman of the National Maritime Security Advisory Committee at its July 20 meeting, the U.S. Coast Guard said.
NMSAC is a federal advisory committee to the U.S. Coast Guard and Department of Homeland Security comprising 22 members representing all segments of the maritime industry. The committee provides feedback on issues such as the transportation worker identification credential, port security grants and facility security plans.
The committee elected Ron Branch of the Mississippi River Maritime Association as vice chairman.
The chairman and vice chairman serve one-year terms.
