Noble heads Donjon’s UK operation

   Donjon Marine Co. has appointed John Noble as managing director of its U.K. operations.
   Noble has worked in commercial shipping since 1962 when he joined HMS Conway, the pre-sea training school in the United Kingdom. He served as a deck officer in the British Merchant Marine sailing with shipping lines Blue Funnel and Palm Line.
   After serving as a claims executive with Thomas Miller (UK P & I Club) during the late 1970s, he opened the London office of Murray Fenton & Associates in 1980. Following the acquisition of Murray Fenton by BMT in 1999, he was chief executive officer of the Salvage Association until 2005.
   Hillside, N.J.-based Donjon provides multi-faceted marine services, including marine salvage, heavy lift, dredging, emergency response services and most recently shipbuilding and repair.
