The World Shipping Council has elected new NOL Group President and Chief Executive Officer Ng Yat Chung to it board of directors for a term that expires September 2013.
In 2011, Ng replaced Ron Widdows, former NOL president and CEO and current WSC board chairman.
The other 10 WSC members are Philip Chow (OOCL); Thomas Crowley Jr. (Crowley Maritime Corp.); Rafi Danieli (Zim); Morten Englestof (Maersk Line); Ottmar Gast (Hamburg Sud); Y.M. Kim (Hanjin Shipping); Ulrich Kranich (Hapag-Lloyd); Kenji Mizushima (NYK Line); and Wan Min (COSCO Container Lines).
Widdows, who retired from NOL in September, will continue to serve as the WSC chairman until September 2012.
