Cindy Stoddard, chief information officer for NOL, will represent NOL’s two subsidiaries APL and APL Logistics on the logistics council.
As a subsidiary of the Uniform Code Council, RosettaNet is a non-profit consortium of major companies and organizations designed to create and implement industry-wide, open e-business process standards using the extensible markup language (XML) platform. It serves multiple technology-related sectors, and this year added the logistics sector.
APL and APL Logistics will undertake a project-management role for RosettaNet’s “Shipment Booking and Status” work, and will also participate in the “E-Customs” work, NOL said in a statement.
