Norfolk Southern promotes Baker

Norfolk Southern promotes Baker Norfolk Southern Corp. has named Newell M. Baker as its assistant vice president industrial development, effective March 1.
   Baker joined the company in 1973 and has served as director industrial development since 1993. In his new position, Baker will assume the responsibilities held by Larry R. Collingwood, who will retire after a 36-year railroad career.
   Working in the Atlanta office, Baker will report to Robert E. Mart'nez, vice president business development.
