Norfolk Southern route restored after derailment
Norfolk Southern Railway Co. said its route between Birmingham, Ala., and Meridian, Miss. has been restored to service following a derailment Monday at Cuba, Ala.
“Traffic moving in this corridor between Birmingham and points south of Meridian, to include interchange traffic at Meridian, Hattiesburg and New Orleans, may continue to incur delays as the backlogged trains are moved through the affected area,” Norfolk Southern said.
