Carriers of the Europe East Coast of South America
Conference will reinstate a bunker surcharge next month.
The surcharge, applicable both southbound and northbound, is set at $45
per TEU for rates denominated in U.S. dollars and DM82 per TEU for rates denominated in
Deutsche Mark.
The shipping lines that belong to the conference include Maersk Line
and subsidiary Safmarine Container Lines, Sea-Land Service, Hamburg-Sud and subsidiaries
Alianca and Transroll, Compania Sud Americana de Vapores and subsidiaries Braztrans and
Montemar, CMA CGM, P&O Nedlloyd, Contship Containerlines and DSR-Senator.
