Northrop Grumman receives Army logistics contract extension

Los Angeles-based Northrop Grumman has received a $122 million extension to it current contract to provide logistics supply services to the U.S. Army's National Training Center at Fort Irwin.

   The 20-month extension will run from April 1 through Nov. 30, 2008.

   Under the contract, Northrop Grumman provide logistics support of Fort Irwin's non-tactical vehicles, material handling equipment, supply warehouses, and designated tactical equipment including the M1 Main Battle Tank, Armored Personnel Carrier, High Mobility Multi-Purpose Utility Vehicle, and Heavy Equipment Transporters. The contract also calls for Northrop to provide field maintenance, logistics functions and mission support for areas such as transportation, field maintenance, supply, and ammunition supply.
