Northwest increases fuel charge again

NWA Cargo, the cargo subsidiary of Northwest Airlines, is raising its fuel surcharge again Nov. 8 in response to rising fuel prices.

For international shipments, the surcharge will increase to 40 cents per kilogram for most U.S.-origin international shipments, up 5 cents per kilo from the surcharge that took effect Oct. 25. The fuel surcharge will also be adjusted for most non-U.S. origin shipments unless it is not permitted for regulatory reasons.

For all domestic shipments, the surcharge will increase to 15 cents a pound from 13 cents.
