NRF elects Litchford to lead technology

The National Retail Federation (NRF) has chosen Tom Litchford to serve as its vice president of retail technologies, beginning in July.
Litchford will head NRF’s Association for Retail Technology Standards (ARTS) and its CIO Council, and he will be responsible for developing and maintaining programs and technology relationships both domestically and internationally. Litchford previously held senior roles at Microsoft and NCR’s Retail Solutions Group. Most recently he directed the planning, development, and execution of partnerships in the retail and hospitality industries for Microsoft.
ARTS’ current executive director, Richard Mader, will retire in July and assume the role of ARTS director emeritus. Mader will remain involved in some of the broader work, but will leave a gap in daily functions.
NRF currently represents retailers of all sizes across the United States and in more than 45 countries.
