NSCSA PULL TWO SHIPS FROM NORTH AMERICA/MIDEAST/INDIAN SUB/MED SERVICE

   The National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia is withdrawing two vessels from its fortnightly North American Service from six to four ships and reducing
the service frequency to 20 or 21 days.
   The 1,600-TEU “Saudi Riyadh” and “Saudi Makkah”, will be phased out after discharge in the Middle East on their current voyages.
   The remaining four 2,300-TEU ships will continue the service rotation of Baltimore, Houston; New Orleans; Savannah; Wilmington; Norfolk; New York; Halifax, Nova Scotia; St John, New Brunswick; Jeddah;    Dammam; Port Rashid; Karachi; Nhava Sheva; Jeddah; Leghorn; New York and Baltimore.
   “There may be some minor adjustments to our future schedules as we re-align the vessels to the new schedule pattern.” a spokesman said.
   Recently, Safmarine announced it was to cease taking space from NSCSA on the service from the start of next month and is instead joining the Indamex service of CMA CGM, Contship and Shipping Corp. of India.
