Numerex enters the supply chain

Numerex Corp. has launched its supply chain management portfolio that allows large customers to optimize their inventory management.

The platform provides real-time information about product sell-through, usage, and availability, which Numerex said can be leveraged into a variety of business intelligence and inventory systems to improve efficiency.

The company specializes in interactive and on-demand machine-to-machine (M2M) technology and services.

Numerex said its services connect enterprises to the point-of-sale through a variety of sensors and monitoring capabilities, allowing business decision logic to be distributed across the entire system and support real-time intelligence that can be used at various points throughout the supply chain.

Its supply chain management portfolio includes all the required components of the platform: sensors, network hardware and elements, a platform to process sensor and network input, mobility and enterprise management interfaces, and support around integration with a customer’s existing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.

Numerex’s new solutions are built on its secure horizontal service delivery platform, Numerex FAST, which enables dynamic management of network services, device management, and supports applications including data consolidation, manipulation, and delivery through Web-based and smartphone applications.

The company said its new products can also work with existing M2M products such as retail shelf-out, remote monitoring and loss control, container tracking and material flow, and asset monitoring and use.
