NWA adds calls on TP loop

The New World Alliance carriers have amended the rotation of their PSX transpacific loop, according to a notice from NWA member MOL.
In specific, the PSX added calls at Seattle, Vancouver, Tokyo, and Yantian with an aim of providing “competitive transit times and cut-offs for cargo from the Pacific Northwest.”
The revised rotation is now Laem Chabang, Cai Mep, Hong Kong, Yantian, Los Angeles, Oakland, Seattle, Vancouver, Tokyo, Yantian, Hong Kong, and Laem Chabang. The Yantian call added this week is the second on the service, with the port served only eastbound previously.
The service is currently operated with seven vessels of between 6,300 and 6,700 TEUs, all from MOL, according to American Shipper affiliate ComPair Data. Other NWA members are APL and Hyundai Merchant Marine. – Eric Johnson
