NYK adds surcharges on Hong Kong/South Africa shipments
NYK Line will introduce two surcharges and raise rates on shipments from Hong Kong, Macau and South China to South Africa.
The carrier will introduce an “emergency bunker adjustment” surcharge of $100 per TEU, effective July 1. It will also charge a peak-season surcharge of $150 per TEU during the period Aug. 1-Nov. 30.
In addition, NYK announced a “second general rate restoration” that includes rate increases of $200 per TEU, effective July 1.
