NYK, HYUNDAI, SIAM PAETRA BOOST JAPAN-THAILAND SERVICES

NYK Line, Hyundai Merchant Marine and Siam Paetra International will increase the frequency of their joint Japan-Thailand container service to three times a week from the end of this month (February).

Each weekly service service will have a fixed 21-day round voyage.

The services call at major Japanese ports and at Laem Chabang and Bangkok in Thailand. Some of the services also call at Ho Chi Minh City, in Vietnam, Manila, in the Philippines, or at Hong Kong.

NYK said that the three-times-a-week service was curtailed to a twice-a-week frequency after December 1997, when the effects of the Asian economic crisis began to be felt.
