NYK INTEGRATES AMERICAS LOGISTICS ACTIVITIES    NYK said it has integrated all of its NYK Logistics products under a single entity, NYK Logistics (Americas) Inc.
   The new unit comprises the assets of Orient Consolidation Services, a cargo management service; United Warehouse & Distribution Corp., a West Coast provider of warehouse and transload services; ETA Transportation of Bentonville, Ark., an integrated logistics and U.S./Mexico cross-border service provider; GST Corp., an intermodal marketing company and logistics product supplier for the domestic market; and NSRI, NYK Group's internal information resource component.
   NYK said the new structure will closely interface with NYK's existing liner organization.
   'In the past, many of these products and services were offered, but not in the integrated fashion required in the dynamic and challenging marketplace we see today,' said Kinichi Hirayama, chairman of NYK (North America) Inc., and chief executive officer of the new entity.
   Saburo Yamagata, a member of the board for NYK Logistics (Americas), said 'by combining our strengths in the intermodal arena with our proven capabilities in Asia consolidation and cargo management, warehousing and cross-dock operations, cross-border and reverse logistics, then adding our transaction and cargo visibility technologies, we know we will continue to be a compelling force in the all-important logistics market.'
