NYK Line said Tuesday it will start a new service between Thailand, Vietnam, and China with Thailand-based intra-Asia-carrier Regional Container Lines (RCL) and drop an existing joint service with Vietnam state-owned carrier Vinalines.
The new service, which NYK will call TVC, will have a rotation of Bangkok, Laem Chabang, Haiphong, Shekou, Hong Kong, Haiphong, Hong Kong, Shekou, and Bangkok. It will be operated by three 1,000-TEU ships, two from RCL and one from NYK.
The dropped service was called TVS by NYK, and included calls to Singapore. – Eric Johnson
