NYK Line hikes transatlantic U.S. export rates

NYK Line hikes transatlantic U.S. export rates    NYK Line said Thursday it will raise rates from the United States and Canada to Northern Europe beginning Sept. 14.
   The general rate increase, $250 per TEU and $500 per FEU, applies to all cargo under NYK Line independent tariffs and service contracts, including dry and reefer shipments.
   'This rate restoration initiative is necessary to address the severe economic challenges associated with NYK operating services in the transatlantic trade,' the line said.
