The NYK Aquarius, sailing from Shekou to Vung Tau in South Vietnam, received a call from the Hong Kong Maritime Rescue Coordination Center that a troubled vessel was on the verge of sinking. A 27th sailor aboard the troubled vessel was saved by another cargo vessel sailing near the site. The rescued sailors disembarked the NYK vessel in Vung Tau on Nov. 11.
No details were given regarding the stricken vessel.
