OOCL expanding Scandinavian loops
Liner carrier OOCL said Thursday it is adding two calls and capacity to its two-loop Scandinavian Express (SBX) service.
The line said the SBX2 loop will add a call at Kotka in Finland and a second call in St. Petersburg to give a revised rotation of Hamburg, St. Petersburg, Kotka, Rauma, Gavle, Bremerhaven, Hamburg, Klaipeda, St. Petersburg and Hamburg.
Meanwhile, with new vessels being phased in, overall capacity on the SBX2 will increase 45 percent. Capacity on the SBX1 loop will rise 5 percent. The SBX1 rotation is Rotterdam, Antwerp, St. Petersburg, Gdynia, Gothenburg, Hamburg, Gdynia, St. Petersburg and Rotterdam.
