OOCL names new president in U.S.

OOCL names new president in U.S.    Orient Overseas Container Line said Erxin Yao, currently managing director of OOCL (China) Ltd., will be transferred from Shanghai to take up the position of president of OOCL (USA) Inc.
   Yao will also become a member of OOCL's executive committee and a director of OOCL.
   Peter Leng is retiring as president of OOCL (USA) on Jan. 1. He joined the company in 1976.
   The company also announced the following staff changes:
   * Stephen Ng, senior vice president of transpacific, will relocate to Hong Kong as director of transpacific trade.
   * Paul Devine, vice president of transatlantic trade, will relocate to San Ramon, Calif., as senior vice president of sales. Pamela Tung will become director, transatlantic trade, based in Hong Kong.
   * Henry Wong, head of OOCL Europe, will relocate to Hong Kong as director of corporate logistics department. Bosco Louie, who will take up the position of director of a new “regions management” department.
