OOCL names sixth 5,888-TEU vessel

OOCL names sixth 5,888-TEU vessel

   Hong Kong’s Orient Overseas Container Line Ltd. today named the sixth in a series of eight 5,888-TEU vessels ordered from Japan’s Imabari Shipbuilding Group.

   The naming ceremony for the “OOCL Kuala Lumpur” was held at Imabari’s Koyo Dockyard in Mihara City, Hiroshima.

   The ship will be deployed on the weekly Asia/Mediterranean EUM service of the Grand Alliance.
