The carrier did not disclose when the two vessels will be delivered.
Hong Kong-based OOCL, the 14th largest carrier by fleet size according to maritime news service Alphaliner, has eight other ships on order, accounting for 71,000 TEUs of capacity, roughly 20 percent of the line's current 353,000 TEUs of capacity.
OOCL also joins other Asia-based lines like APL and Evergreen to order new vessels in the second half of 2010.
