OOCL to raise transatlantic rates
OOCL said Thursday it is raising rates in both directions of the transatlantic trade starting July 1.
The increase is $400 per 20-foot container and $500 per 40-foot container westbound from Europe to North America, and $320 per 20-foot container and $400 per 40-foot container eastbound from North America to Europe.
The increases are being implemented 'in order to ensure the continued provision of sufficient capacity to cater for our customer requirements,' the line said in a statement.
