The system was developed by Qiva Inc, a producer of supply chain logistics and global transportation management systems.
OTAL said iQ-Ship will enable the carrier to simplify and automate several internal processes. This will reduce the time and costs required to execute OTAL’s commercial, logistics and financial functions and allow staff more time meeting customers’ needs.
OTAL plans to deploy the application in several phases beginning with line activities in the spring or early summer. When fully deployed, by the end of 2002, approximately 1,200 Bollor' Maritime Division employees and agency users will be able to access the application.
