OWL expands services in Asia

New York-based non-vessel-operating common carrier Ocean World Lines said Wednesday it has begun offering cargo management services in Asia.

The company said it has also opened offices in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Qingdao.

The new services include worldwide door-to-door air, ocean and ground transportation and are designed 'to help importers better manage their inventory levels and improve vendor compliance.'

'With the extra tight vessel capacity, it is more important than any other time in the industry for shippers to pre-book and manage their cargo ready dates,' said OWL President Alan Baer. 'We are recommending that our shippers book two to three weeks in advance.'
