PAM sells brokerage operation

PAM sells brokerage operation    PAM Transportation Services has sold its Paulsboro, N.J.-based truck brokerage operation, East Coast Transport & Logistics.
   'While this sale will decrease revenue, it will not have a material effect on our net income,' said Dan Cushman, PAM's president and chief executive officer, in a statement. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
   Cushman said the sale would allow PAM to focus more on asset management. In late 2009, the Tontitown, Ark.-based trucking company introduced Supply Chain Solutions, a program that Cushman said complements its asset-based operations.
   In addition to the United States, PAM provides truckload transport to the Canadian provinces of Ontario and Quebec, and Mexico through its gateways in Laredo and El Paso, Texas under agreements with Mexican carriers.
