Panalpina expands in Moscow

 

   Panalpina said Tuesday it has opened a new logistics center on the outskirts of Moscow to tap into demand for high-value cargo.
   The Swiss freight forwarder said it has paid particular attention to security needs for the 6,000-square-meter facility. The center is aimed at in high-tech, automotive, high-end fashion, telecommunication, and healthcare customers “looking for high quality security solutions and value-added services.”
   The facility has 8,000 pallet positions, with 15 inbound and outbound docks for cross-docking.
   “Our logistics center is right on the main inbound route from Europe to Moscow,” said Stefan Karlen, area manager for the Black and Caspian Sea at Panalpina. “We can now offer our customers very attractive end-to-end supply chain solutions Russia inbound.”
