Panalpina names Gulisano executive VP North America

Panalpina names Gulisano executive VP North America    Panalpina Inc., a provider of transportation and logistics services, has appointed Vincent F. Gulisano as executive vice president for its North America region, which includes the United States, Canada and Mexico.
   Gulisano was senior vice president for global sales at APL Logistics. Prior to APL, he was chief operating officer and co-founder of Electron Economy, a supply chain software company that was later purchased by Viewlocity. Previously, he was with USCO Logistics Service for 13 years, where he was executive vice president/general manager for international operations.
   Gulisano will be based at Panalpina’s new North American Region corporate headquarters in Foster City, Calif., near San Francisco. The parent company has its headquarters in Basel, Switzerland.
