Panalpina starts China/Israel LCL service
The global logistics company Panalpina said Friday it was starting less-than-containerload services from four Chinese ports to the Israeli port of Ashdod.
The LCL services will connect Ashdod with Shanghai (22 days), Ningbo (21 days), Hong Kong (18 days), and Yantian (17 days), via the company's hub in Singapore.
The service will seek to capitalize on growth between China and Israel in the health care, fashion, consumer retail, and automotive industries, said Erez Harari, chief operating officer of Amit Ltd., Panalpina's exclusive partner in Israel. The company said it would likely expand LCL services between the two nations in months to come.
