Panalpina wins oil and gas business

Forwarder and logistics company Panalpina said it has won “significant new businesses” from two oil and gas firms, Weatherford and Halliburton.

Panalpina said it won air and ocean freight export business from the United States and from Canada from Weatherford and will be responsible for packing services for export shipments destined to Latin America, Africa and Russia.

The company also said it will handle more than 1,000 tons annually of air freight traffic from U.S. to Europe destinations other than Norway for Halliburton. That cargo will primarily be routed via the Dixie Jet service from Huntsville, Ala.

Panalpina was able to retain business from Halliburton for lanes from the U.S. to Latin America and Sub-Saharan Africa.
