Panama to host terminal operatorsÆ conference Panama has been selected as the location for the TOC2007 Americas conference slated for November 6-8.
   The terminal operator-focused event was held in Mexico in 2006 and will be returning to Panama, where it has had good turnout in the past.
   'Panama is a particularly appropriate location from which to address issues pertaining to the shipping, ports and terminals industries of the Americas, thanks to its growing emergence as not only a regional but also a global hub. The country's maritime evolution is now at a key stage, with the Panama Canal Authority continuing to invest in major infrastructure projects which will impact the global container shipping industry,' a statement from conference organizers Informa Maritime and Transport said.
