Partnership buys Smokey Point Distributing

Partnership buys Smokey Point Distributing Arlington, Va.-based specialty trucking and logistics firm Smokey Point Distributing has been purchased for $34 million by a group of investors including Dan Wirkkala, current president and chief executive officer.
Wirkkala partnered with Dallas investor Don R. Daseke and Main Street Capital of Houston to make the purchase.
Allegiance Capital, acting for the seller, served as the investment bank for the deal.
