Pasha wins Kia-Hyundai business in San Diego

The Pasha Group has won a three-year contract from the logistics provider of Hyundai and Kia automobiles to provide processing for vehicles destined for Texas inland port storage.

The contract is with GLOVIS America, the U.S. division of the South Korean logistics company for the Korean automakers. Vehicles will be headed to Alliance (Hyundai) and Midlothian (Kia), Texas, for processing. Anticipated annual volume for the combined traffic is 50,000 units.

All of the carmakers' models will be sent through the Port of San Diego, except for the Hyundai Sonata and Santa Fe, which are assembled in Alabama.

Both brands ship with EUKOR Car Carriers, which has also contracted with Pasha Stevedoring & Terminals to provide automotive stevedoring services at the Port of San Diego. The first EUKOR vessel is scheduled to arrive on July 20, with a second vessel due Aug. 4.
