PC Mall renews Torrance HQ lease Online electronics retailer PC Mall Inc. Thursday said it has renegotiated and renewed the lease for its corporate headquarters office in Torrance. The new four-year lease begins Oct. 1.
   “We are very excited about the anticipated cost savings afforded to us with the execution of a new lease of our corporate headquarters,” said Frank Khulusi, the company’s chairman and chief executive officer. “We estimate annual cost savings of approximately 45 percent of our current lease, which translates to approximately $1.4 million annually, beginning in the fourth quarter.”
   The firm attributes the savings largely to a 57 percent reduction in the firm's occupied square footage made possible by outsourcing a call center to Canada and other services to the Philippines. The firm also reduced needed space when it spun off subsidiary eCOST.com last year.
   The online firm, which recorded sales of more than $1 billion last year, sells more than 100,000 different products from companies such as Apple, HP, IBM, Lenovo and Microsoft. The firm ships orders through a national distribution center located near FedEx’s main hub in Memphis, Tenn.
