PeopleNet appoints new technology head

   PeopleNet, a provider of integrated onboard computing and mobile communications systems for fleet management, has appointed Mark Botticelli to executive vice president and head of technology.
   Botticelli, a 25-year veteran, is responsible for PeopleNet’s North American technology strategy and product delivery.
   Other appointments include promotions of Garland Jackson and Mark Kessler to senior sales vice president roles.
   The appointments come from the newly named President Brian McLaughlin, who has taken over for Ron Konezny. Konezny remains the company’s chief executive officer, but has also been named as the general manager of Trimble’s expanding worldwide Transportation and Logistics division.
   PeopleNet is part of Trimble ’s Transportation and Logistics division. Trimble is a provider of advanced positioning solutions, best known for its GPS work, and the company acquired PeopleNet last July. – Geoff Whiting
