Peters, who received Senate confirmation of her appointment on Sept. 26, was formerly a senior official with the Arizona Transportation Department.
In addition, she has been involved with transportation on a national level. Peters recently chaired the Standing Committee on Planning and the Asset Management Task Force for the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials.
