Pilot dies after Galveston accident
The U.S. Coast Guard is investigating the cause of an accident that led to the death of a pilot when his boat capsized Saturday afternoon in Galveston, Texas.
The boat capsized after picking up a pilot from a research ship anchored in Galveston Bay. Another pilot boat in the area spotted the capsized boat and called in a mayday to the Coast Guard.
A dive team searched the capsized pilot boat and located the missing man still inside Sunday. His body was taken to the Coast Guard station at Galveston, where the captain of the Texas City Pilots Association was waiting.
