The Lima, Pa.-based company said it will transport auto parts of any weight and size, including components for vehicle assembly, and after-market repair and replacement parts. Pilot is targeting original equipment manufacturers, tier-one and two suppliers, and third-party logistic companies.
Pilot’s network supports domestic air and ground, international air, ocean, and specialized services.
“Our automotive division’s transportation network is perfectly aligned with the auto industry’s manufacturing model, and provides the consistent on-time service and global reach the marketplace demands,” said Dale Page, senior director at Pilot Freight Services.
The company said Page brings 32 years of experience in transportation industry to his new role at Pilot, including running DHL’s automotive division.
