P&O Nedlloyd, Log-Net form Shanghai joint venture

P&O Nedlloyd, Log-Net form Shanghai joint venture

   P&O Nedlloyd Logistics, the logistics unit of shipping line P&O Nedlloyd, and Log-Net Inc., a provider of transportation and logistics information systems, have formed a joint company in Shanghai to market logistics data services.

   Log-Net Shanghai Data Service Co. offers importers, exporters, manufacturers and retailers the software to comply with U.S. Bureau of Customs and Border Protection regulations and to monitor real-time movement of their shipments.

   John Motley, founder, president and chief executive officer of Log-Net, will serve as chairman of Log-Net Shanghai Data Service. Johan Nanninga, president of P&O Nedlloyd Logistics, and Edward van Dorp, general manager of P&O Nedlloyd Logistics China, have seats on the new joint venture’s board of directors.
