P&O Ports sole operator of Crowley Gulfport facility

P&O Ports sole operator of Crowley Gulfport facility    Crowley Liner Service has appointed P&O Ports Gulfport Inc. to become the sole operator of its facility in Gulfport, Miss.
   Under the contract, P&O Ports will be responsible for the terminal, stevedoring, and warehousing operations for Crowley Liner Service at the port.
   P&O Ports Gulfport has been performing the stevedoring services for the carrier at Gulfport since August 2000. The warehousing and terminal services, previously provided under a joint tenant agreement by MSPA, SSA and P&O Ports, will now be carried out solely by P&O Ports.
   Crowley Liner Service, headquartered in Jacksonville, Fla., is a subsidiary of Oakland-based Crowley Maritime Corp. P&O Ports Gulfport, Inc. is a subsidiary of P&O Ports North America, which is owned by London-based Peninsular & Oriental Steam Navigation Co.
