Port Canaveral hosting AAPA maritime seminar

Port Canaveral hosting AAPA maritime seminar Port Canaveral is the host port for a three-day maritime industry seminar this week that is attracting port officials from throughout the United States, Latin America and the Caribbean.
   The American Association of Port Authorities seminar will be held Wednesday through Friday at the Radisson at the port.
   'This is a crucial time in our industry as seaports, including Port Canaveral, balance growth with economic, security, environmental and related issues. This seminar will allow us to exchange ideas and share strategies,' said Stan Payne, Port Canaveral chief executive officer.
   The seminar will focus on ports' public relations strategies, covering specific topics such as addressing congestion problems to the use of new technologies and marketing strategies used by port staffs.
